Every Author is a publishing consulting services company based in Hong Kong, specialising in offering publishing training and research literacy education to Chinese researchers studying and working outside of China, and extensively supporting different types of ESL learners in wide Asia within the scholarly community.

Claire Hao founded Every Author in 2022.
Her work aims at providing the market insights and strategy professional working at the intersection of scholarly communication, Open Access, and research integrity across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao. As the founder of Every Author, a platform built to support first-time authors through the end-to-end publication journey, the services are including language editing and educational services to make academic publishing more accessible to more less experienced, non-native English-speaking authors.
In Claire's previous role at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, she supported through strategic author services in Asia, successfully managed various authors-related projects multilingually. She is involved with the Asia Pacific Writers and Translators, China Association of Research Integrity and Responsible Innovation, and Council of Asian Science Editors.
In 2013 Lindsey completed her Bachelor of Science in Communications: Technical Writing from Drexel University, followed by her Master of Science in Publishing from Edinburgh Napier University in 2014. It’s here where she met Claire, the Founder of Every Author Publishing. Since then, she's been working in various capacities in the publishing industry, from freelance proofreading and editing, freelance resume writing, to working in Sales Operations for Macmillan Learning and Taylor & Francis.
Lindsey is working at Every Author as the academic editor, assists with the Editing Services Team. She's editing manuscripts written in English by multi-language authors around the world. Our aim is focusing on quality, accuracy, speed and confidentiality to ensure author’s manuscripts are clear and accurate, she's also working extensively with the professional editors to help the editorial team developed and grow.
In addition to her professional work, she also captain a women’s 18-years and older 3.0 level USTA tennis league. She thoroughly enjoy helping others improve their skillset and achieve the best of their potential, whether that’s in their writing, their work, or in sport.
Matteo Simonetti is a talented scientific illustrator at The Lancet. With a rich background in graphic design and publishing, Matteo transitioned from working with researchers and scientific publishers at Padua University to joining The Lancet in 2017. As part of the production team, he ensures the readability and consistency of scientific figures, often restyling and redrawing them to align with The Lancet’s standards. Recently, Matteo expanded his role by joining the multimedia team, where he designs bespoke infographics and graphical abstracts to enhance research papers. In addition to his work at The Lancet, he is now the guest designer for Every Author, where he supports young authors by providing design guidance and tutorials for creating effective scientific graphics and research illustrations. scientific drawing scientific artwork.

Nicole Qi holds a degree in English and has achieved the Test for English Majors–Band 8 (TEM-8) certification. She is an experienced editor with extensive professional experience across the publishing industry.
Her career spans work with a leading literary agency, independent publishing houses, and a state-owned publisher. Her expertise includes manuscript evaluation, editorial development, and the preparation of book and scholarly content for publication.
At Every Author, Nicole serves as our guest trainer, contributing to the development and delivery of training programmes focused on book publishing and book chapter preparation. She works closely with early-career researchers and authors to help them understand publishing standards, improve manuscript quality, and navigate the editorial expectations of academic and professional publishers.
Mr. Jackson Cai specialises in interdisciplinary research in psychology and tourism management. He holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (2024) and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in International Hospitality and Tourism Management from City University of Macau (2021, 2023).

Jackson Cai research focuses on consumer behavior psychology, social media influence on consumer decision-making, and smart tourism technology experience value. Academic contributions include publications in the *International Journal of Social Science Research* and presentations at multiple international conferences including The International Conference on Tourism and Hospitality between China and Spain.

With a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Hong Kong, Emilia Wu brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to the field of language and communication services. Over the course of four years, Emilia has honed her skills in English language teaching, making her well-equipped to provide academic writing and research services as trainer and consultant.
Emilia's passion for linguistic accuracy is evident in her role as a certified translator and interpreter. She possesses a keen eye for detail and strives for precision in her work. Her extensive professional training encompasses a wide range of areas within academic English training, including everyday spoken English, grammar refinement, English presentations, and interview coaching. Emilia's diverse expertise allows her to cater to the needs of young authors seeking assistance in various aspects of language and communication.
In addition to her teaching and translation experience, Emilia has also served as a research assistant in Hong Kong, which has further deepened her understanding of research methods, curriculum design, discourse analysis, and other key aspects of applied linguistics. Her academic background and involvement in research have equipped her with a solid foundation to address the unique requirements of clients seeking academic writing and research support.

Shirley is a highly experienced trainer and researcher who is working at Every Author as Trainer remotely. With a strong academic background and a passion for inclusive language, Shiqi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.
She has also served as a Tutor for the course "Pre-modern History and Thought" at the University of Edinburgh. This teaching experience showcases her expertise in the subject matter and her ability to effectively convey knowledge to students.

Mr. HA has worked for the telecommunications and the business services industry and he hopes that his past work experience can be shared for the benefit of society.
His teaching interests are e-commerce, information systems, information systems auditing and control, and business administration-related areas and online / distance education is the area of interest in his research especially its impact on adult / higher education.
Mr. HA will conduct researcher training sessions for authors in the Cantonese-speaking region. With his valuable research experience in public relations and social sciences, excellent teaching skills, and organisational abilities, Mr. Ha is dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and research services to academic institutions on behalf of Every Author.
Jiazheng has gained valuable work experience in the fashion industry, most recently at B1OCK, as a Fashion Operations Intern in the Marketing Department at B1OCK in OōEli, Hangzhou, the largest boutique department store in China. In this role, they successfully managed online store operations, ensuring accurate product listings and handling daily returns for platforms like Farfetch and Little Red Book. Furthermore, engagement in the Marketing and Membership Operations team to contribute to market research, coordinate with international brands for event planning, oversee event logistics and setup, monitor event success, and manage content uploads for customer event notifications on the Youzan platform.
Jiazheng's work experience in the fashion industry, particularly in online store operations and visual merchandising, brings real-life practicality to the coursework. She will share firsthand experiences, case studies, and examples that bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and their application in the industry, helping students gain a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.
